Annie (Shetler) Olds is a northern Michigan native and Business Development Manager with Venture North Funding & Development, a local CDFI and mission-lender that specializes in financing small businesses and providing professional consulting services across the Northwest region. She grew up in a family-owned dairy farm and value-added food operation in Kalkaska, has consulted hundreds of small businesses in her past work with the MI-SBDC, and now owns and operates a growing beef farm with her husband – so, she knows well the many struggles along the way of starting up and running a successful small business, especially when it’s in the form of insufficient capital. Annie can introduce Venture North to you, share more about their loan financing options, professional consulting services (it’s free, by the way), Mini-Grant for Growth program, and even offer some examples of small businesses who have worked with Venture North to grow their small businesses in northwest Michigan.
LUNCH - is a 6" Subway sub, chips, cookie, water (or, bring your own non-alcoholic beverage). If you are a vegetarian and prefer a veggie sub, please specify so in the comments on the registration tab. All other subs are first come, first serve - variety of ham, turkey, BLT.
Cost: $7 per plate; 100% goes to caterer (drop into basket on the table at the start of the food line).
BRING A BAG - TAKE A BAG - (Optional) - Bring a bag with a small gift inside - it can be a gift card for a car wash, gift certificate to a local business, a retail item purchased locally, even a bottle of wine! (Suggested minimum value $10). Place your gift bag on the table when you arrive, and take a different one home with you when you leave!
